2025 Pending Legislation

10 bills introduced by Assemblymember Ahrens in 2025 passed the State Assembly and have moved to the California State Senate for consideration in the following months. June 6th is the 2025 deadline for all bills to pass the house they were originally introduced in ("house of origin") and move to the next house for consideration in California's bicameral legislature.

Assembly Bill 1314: Eliminates bureaucratic barriers to offer more housing options and resources to foster youth

Assembly Bill 1326: Establishes a legal right for individuals to wear a mask to protect their health and/or the health of others

Assembly Bill 1332: Allows seriously ill patients with Medical Cannabis ID Cards and a Physician Statement to receive medicinal cannabis by direct shipment from cannabis cultivators with a Medicinal Use license
