SACRAMENTO— Assemblymember Evan Low (D-Silicon Valley) released the following statement regarding the resignation of UC Davis Chancellor Linda Katehi:
"I'm pleased to hear that Chancellor Katehi has resigned. A complete and public accounting of Chancellor Katehi’s missteps is still needed to ensure that UC Davis is able to put this chapter behind it. However, we must also turn our focus to finding a leader who can move the University forward from this dark era. I’d like to thank my colleague Assemblymember Kevin McCarty for his leadership in fighting for accountability and transparency. UC Davis deserves a leader worthy of its long history of academic excellence.”
