SACRAMENTO— Assemblymember Evan Low (D-Silicon Valley) released the following statement regarding UC Davis Chancellor Linda Katehi being placed on administrative leave by UC President Janet Napolitano:
"I'm pleased to hear that UC President Napolitano has taken action against Chancellor Katehi. It's unfortunate to hear about another investigation on the Chancellor, however, it is a necessary step in order to provide more information about Katehi's missteps. I’d like to thank my colleague Assemblymember Kevin McCarty for his leadership in fighting for accountability and transparency. UC Davis deserves a leader worthy of its long history of academic excellence.”
