SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Evan Low (D-Campbell) issued the following statement in support of Senate Bill 350 authored by Senate President Pro Tem Kevin De León (D-Los Angeles):
“I’m proud to stand with my constituents, environmentalists, labor, working families and healthcare providers, in supporting SB 350. This historic legislation will ensure that California remains a global leader in combating climate change by setting ambitious goals to double energy efficiency in buildings, increasing the amount of renewable sources powering the grid, and creating green jobs in our state. Addressing climate change is the civil rights issue of our generation and it’s imperative we take this important step to ensure that for years to come Californians will be able to enjoy clean air and clean water. I applaud Senator De León, Speaker Atkins, my colleagues and Governor Brown on their hard work and leadership on this issue as we support SB 350.”
