Assemblymember Low Responds to Passage of Redevelopment Legislation

For immediate release:

Bill is final resolution after dissolution of redevelopment agencies

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Evan Low (D-Campbell) issued the following statement after the California State Legislature passed Senate Bill 107 last Friday:

“The Legislature passed an Assembly led effort to clean up many of the unresolved issues that were created by the dissolution of redevelopment agencies. I’m proud that this bill allows for a number of broad-based benefits for local governments, including an end to the requirement for four cities in Santa Clara County to reimburse the County ERAF for Tax Equity Allocations over a five-year period. This bill is a huge win for our region and will save our local governments millions of dollars each year. I’m proud to support my district by voting in support of SB 107.”
